Five-time world champion speed skater Martina Sablikova took the Olympic gold medal in ladies' 3,000 m on Monday.
Sablikova won Czech Republic's first Olympic medal with a track record of 4:02.53.
Stephane Beckert of Germany took the silver finishing 2.09 seconds behind the leader and Canada's Kristina Groves came third (+2.31).
Russia's Svetlana Vysokova and Galina Likhachova came 18th and 20th, respectively.
