14:06 GMT 16.02.2010 (Updated: 19:51 GMT 19.10.2022) Vancouver homeless set up their own Olympic village in a protest against the Games and spending budget funds.
Shouting “Houses instead of Games!”, “Stop poverty, this is not a game!” and “21 houses instead of 21st Games!” they walked the city streets and then in Downtown Eastside they pitched a tent camp which they called a tent Olympic village. The district is the poorest in the country and is situated several districts from a real Olympic village.
