Bjorn Ferry of Sweden took the Olympic gold in the men's 12.5 km pursuit on Wednesday.
The silver medal went to Austria's Christoph Sumann, who missed two targets and finished 16.5 seconds behind the leader.
Vincent Jay, who started first after winning the 10 km sprint on Sunday, missed two shots and came third, 28.2 seconds behind Ferry.
Russia's Ivan Tcherezov finished fifth (two missed shots, + 51.2 seconds), Evgeny Ustyugov was 15th (four missed shots, + 1 minute 29 seconds). Anton Shipulin came in 20th (3 missed shots, +1 minute 56 seconds).
