A lynx hiding in a waste bin was found at a plant in northwest Moscow, the head of the city's wild animal rehabilitation center said on Friday.
Vitaly Ratner said that the lynx who reportedly belonged to a private zoo was caught using a lasso by the center's employees when local residents called the police.
"The animal was frightened and climbed a tree and the first tranquilizing shot hit the lynx's paw and failed to put her to sleep," he said.
The police are currently seeking the lynx's owner.
