The best Russian racecar drivers struggled for the champion’s title at Tushino Air Field’s ice track in Moscow. This year a record 31 crews, driving Renaults, Ladas, Fords, Citroens and Volkswagens all took part in the event.Vitaly Petrov, Renault F1 Team driver, was the special guest at the contests in Tushino. The twenty five year-old Petrov is the first Russian driver to make it to Formula 1. He will make his debut at the Bahrain Grand Prix in March.
Vitaly Petrov drove the final demonstration race with his special guest, multiple Formula 1 World Championship winner, David Coulthard.
Za Rulem, the oldest Russian sports magazine, has held the All-Star Car Race Competition since 1978. The country’s best racers, the champions of international rally, circle track and road course racing have traditionally taken part in the event.
