The 2010 Winter Olympics were declared closed during a ceremony at BC Place Stadium in downtown Vancouver.The closing ceremony was broadcast live on screens around the city. During the closing ceremony, the Olympic flag was handed from Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson to Sochi Mayor Anatoly Pakhomov.The majority of Canadians, however, did not follow the last events of the 2010 Olympics as they were too busy celebrating the victory of the national hockey team.
