Two blue-eyed Bengal tiger cubs are getting ready to enter their open-air cage at Novosibirsk zoo.The cubs were born two months ago to a couple of white tigers, a species listed in the Red book of endangered species. For now the cubs are kept in a special heated room with their mother, who fiercely protects them even from the zoo staff.

For now the cubs are kept in a special heated room with their mother, who fiercely protects them even from the zoo staff.The mother still feeds the cubs milk, but they are slowly being introduced to meat. The cubs are also being introduced to temperature changes and human presence. When the ambient temperature stays above zero, the cubs will be introduced to their open-air cage.This is the second litter of white tigers at Novosibirsk zoo. The first three cubs were born in 2008 to the same couple of striped predators.
