Police in Australia are searching for three men after a dramatic robbery on a cafe in Melbourne was caught on security camera, early on Wednesday.
The three bandits used a stolen four-wheel drive as a battering ram and repeatedly smashed the front window to gain access to a bank automated teller machine.
Disguised in hoods and wearing gloves, they piled out of the vehicle and into the cafe, sifting through the wreckage before fleeing in a getaway car with several cash boxes, according to local media.
Owner Daniel Adams was disappointed he cafe was targeted. "We're trying open up something to make the area nice and give something the area doesn't have and when people do stuff like this it kind of kicks you in the guts a bit," Adams told Australian broadcaster AuBC.
Adams said while the ATM will remain on site, it will no longer be an easy target for thieves as he's planning on putting a concrete panel to protect it.
This latest attack is the fifth time the business has been targeted since Boxing Day last year, according to local media.
