Dancing twin sisters Viktoriya and Marina Alikova held a lesson on reel dancing. The dancing twins perform with one of the most well-known Moscow Celtic folk-rock bands, Tintal.Reel is often called a step dance, because many of its elements are accompanied by rhythmic leaps. It is considered a traditional Irish dance, though it actually appeared in Scotland in the middle of the 18th century. The Irish started doing it their own way.
Today reel is a must for any Irish holiday. On St. Patrick’s Day bands and amateur dancers gather in the squares of various countries for mass dances.
