Egypt has become the first Middle Eastern country to host the International Chocolate Show. The best confectioners from all over the world gathered in Cairo to demonstrate their skills.
At the entrance to the show, visitors were greeted by a chocolate Sphinx and chocolate Giza pyramids. They could taste these edible Egyptian symbols free of charge.
The participant at this delicious event tried to wow the guests: some fashioned purses and shoes out of chocolate, while others made entire sculptures.
The chocolate fashion show was the highlight of the event. Fashion models and Miss Egypt herself donned outfits and accessories with edible pieces.
The International Chocolate Show has already been held in Paris, Moscow, New York, Beijing, Shanghai and many other cities. The event’s organizers are positive that if such events are held more often in the Middle East, the locals might just catch up with the Europeans, who are currently the world’s leading chocolate consumers.
