Russia's former WBA heavyweight world champion Nikolai Valuev will open a boxing school in the 2014 Olympic host city of Sochi, a city spokesperson said on Wednesday.
"Nikolai Valuev suggested opening a boxing school during a personal meeting with the Sochi mayor. Naturally, the mayor agreed," the spokesperson said.
Valuev is training in the Black Sea resort city ahead of an expected return to the ring in early June.
He has already helped to open three boxing schools in his hometown of St. Petersburg where children and teenagers can take lessons free of charge.
