A crowd of supporters of deposed Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiyev broke into an administrative building in the Jalal-Abad region in southern Kyrgyzstan.
At the time of the attack, police officers were protesting at the other end of the central square and did not get involved in the action.
According to the estimations of a RIA Novosti correspondent, there were around 300 Bakiyev supporters involved.
The supporters said the reason for the attack was that demands for the release of the former defense minister Bakit Kaliev had not been met.
A bus full of police arrived on the square.
