The Russian government will continue rendering selective support for the country's automobile and housing industries, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday.
"We will continue using selective anti-crisis measures as long as they are on the agenda. For instance, we will continue supporting the housing market and automobile industry," Putin said in his annual address to the parliament's lower house on the government's work in 2009.
The automobile, housing and construction industries were the most severely hit during the global financial crisis.
"I want to say that not just these particular anti-crisis measures, but all our efforts, our budget resources are working for the speedy recovery of the economy and restoration of the labor market," he added.
