Ukrainian opposition leader Yulia Tymoshenko said on Friday the Ukrainian authorities are infringing the rights of the opposition.
"The problem is that the opposition has lost the facility to hold in check the actions of the authorities," Tymoshenko told a news conference on Friday.
She said everything the opposition tries to report is either distorted or does not reach the people at all. She also believes journalists are being pressurized.
The ex-prime minister said the opposition would turn to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) to discuss the "diminishing democracy in Ukraine."
"We will not put up with what is happening in the country. We call it the beginnings of authoritarianism in Ukraine," Tymoshenko said.
