Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin on Saturday met with Georgian opposition leader Nino Burdzhanadze, spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
Burdzhanadze is former Georgian parliament speaker and leader of the opposition Democratic Movement-United Georgia.
He added that Putin was due to meet another opposition figure, Zurab Nogaideli, former prime minister and leader of For a Fair Georgia public movement, later in the day.
