Soccer players from Spartak Moscow laid flowers on Sunday at a memorial in the school in the southern Russian town of Beslan, where hundreds died in a siege by terrorists in September 2004.
After arriving at the airport in Vladikavkaz, where the team is to play Alaniya soccer team on Monday, the players went straight to Beslan. They laid flowers and held a minute of silence.
The team's head coach wrote in the book of condolence at the school: "We remember and mourn. This should never be allowed to happen again." All of the team members signed their names under the message.
