The financial and economic situation in Europe is disturbing and Russia should take it into account, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said on Friday.
Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin told a joint meeting of the Finance and Economic Development ministries chaired by Putin that a range of European countries are running budget deficits of more than 10% of GDP.
"This is an alarming fact - that in the eurozone they put up with these debts," the prime minister said.
"We should take it into account and act in a very considered manner."
