Chechnya's police and military forces killed two suspected militants in a special operation in the Russian North Caucasus republic, a spokesman for the republic's president told RIA Novosti on Sunday.
The special operation took place near the village of Serzhen-Yurt, south of the capital Grozny.
"Two militants, brothers Yusupkhadzhiyev from Shali, were killed. The operation continues," the source said.
No casualties were reported among the police and military personnel.
