Moscow’s Tverskoy district court will hear on Saturday a law suit filed by the Gay Russia organization against the Moscow City Government for the prohibition of gay pride parades in the Russian capital.
The law suit was declined earlier on Thursday by another Moscow court.
Moscow City Government rejected last week for the fifth year running an application to hold a gay pride parade in the Russian capital, saying that the event would provoke public disorder.
Activists will meet on May 29 outside the offices of the European Commission despite the ban, Gay Russia founder Nikolay Alexeyev said.
