Russia's Economic Development Ministry hopes the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will improve the country's investor friendly image in the West, Deputy Minister Stanislav Voskresensky said on Tuesday.
"We are looking forward to an interesting discussion and expect an improvement in investors' mood towards Russia," he said, adding that Russia is often misrepresented in the West.
He said 65 CEOs of the world's largest corporations have confirmed their participation in the forum, which is to run from June 17 -19.
The forum will offer top global decision makers an opportunity to assess post-crisis measures, examine key global macroeconomic trends, and share ideas on ways to streamline strategies to foster stronger economic growth.
