Two unidentified assailants robbed a bank in northwestern Moscow of 6 million rubles ($190,000), a police source said on Sunday.
According to the police source, the attackers burst into the building of the bank located in Leningradsky prospekt on Sunday morning, collected cash and drove away in a VAZ car.
According to preliminary information, the attackers were persons of Slavic appearance aged 17-20.
Measures are under way to apprehend the attackers, the police source said.
The number of armed robberies conducted by criminal gangs has been on the rise in Russia lately, despite the government's efforts to intensify the fight against organized crime.
