A fight between IBF and WBO Heavyweight Champion Wladimir Klitschko of Ukraine and Russia's Alexander Povetkin may be held in Moscow on September 11.
Povetkin (19-0, 14 KOs), a mandatory challenger for the IBF heavyweight title, must face Klitschko (54-3, 48 KOs) until September 11.
"Today I met with the management of the Megasport Arena, and they confirmed that there are several free Saturdays in September-October, including the September 11," Povetkin's manager Vladimir Khryunov said.
Klitschko's management, however, insists on staging the fight in Germany's Frankfurt-am-Main.
The final decision on where the fight will take place is expected in mid-June.
Povetkin was supposed to challenge the Ukrainian boxing legend on December, 13, 2008, but withdrew from the fight due to a leg injury some two months before the fight.
