Russian President Dmitry Medvedev will visit the United States on June 22-24, the Kremlin press service reported Friday.
Medvedev's agenda envisions a visit to California's Silicon Valley, which is seen as a model for the high-tech business zone Russia is creating in Skolkovo in the Moscow Region.
The president will also go to Washington for top-level talks and other meetings, with particular attention paid to expanding Russian-U.S. cooperation in the sphere of innovations and high technology.
The Skolkovo research hub, dubbed Russia's Silicon Valley, is being built from scratch 20 kilometers (12 miles) outside of Moscow. Research at the center will focus on five priority spheres: energy, information technologies, communication, biomedical research and nuclear technologies.
