Russian businessman of Uzbek background Alisher Usmanov has allotted 150 million rubles (some$5 million) for humanitarian aid to Kyrgyz refugees in Uzbekistan, a statement from the businessman, issued on Saturday said.
Usmanov is seventh in Russia's top-10 billionaires list, with an estimated wealth of $12.4 billion. He is known for his charity campaigns. In 2004 Usmanov was awarded the Presidential Medal of Honour for Services to business and charity.
