Russia will purchase 50 Boeing 737 planes from the United States, U.S. President Barack Obama said on Thursday.
U.S. and Russian business leaders are moving forward with their "serious and major trade and investment deals... in many sectors - from aerospace and other modern engineering to the financial sector and high technology," Obama said during a joint news conference with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev in Washington.
"This includes the sale of 50 Boeing aircraft worth $4 billion," he said.
