World leaders at the 2010 G8 and G20 summits will agree to start withdrawing fiscal stimulation programs by 2011, a Russian Finance Ministry official said on Friday.
"There is an understanding that and agreement on the implementation of such a policy no later than 2011 will be reached at the G8 and G20 summits" Andrei Bokarev said, adding that it was too early to give any concrete dates.
The leaders of the G8 countries opened the summit in the Canadian town of Huntsville on Friday.
Politicians will discuss major global problems and the progress made towards the Millennium Development Goals on the eradication of poverty and starvation, and improving the quality of life on the planet.
