A couple from Italy unexpectedly landed in Sydney, Nova Scotia, instead of Sydney, Australia due to a tourist agency’s booking error. Valerio Torresi and Serena Tavoloni planned to fly to Australia but found themselves in Nova Scotia where they received a warm welcome. The couple's travel agency in Italy is correcting the booking error, and the couple hopes to reach Australia soon.
This is not the first time the two Sydneys have been mistaken. Tourists travelling to Australia were sent to Nova Scotia in 2002 and 2008.
