07:47 GMT 22.07.2010 (Updated: 19:52 GMT 19.10.2022) The Soyuz-19 spacecraft which had Alexei Leonov and Valery Kubasov on board was on a mission in space from July 15 to 21, 1975. At the same time, the United States launched an Apollo spacecraft with a three-man crew – Tom Stafford, Vance Brand and Deke Slayton. The two spacecraft docked together two times, on July 17 and July 19, flying in a docked mode for over 46 hours while the crews conducted joint research and technical experiments.
