The Miss Universe 2010 beauty contest will be held in Las-Vegas on August 23. Russia will be represented by Irina Antonenko, winner of the national beauty contest.
Antonenko wore a crown with pearls and a superb dress by Nata Rikami fashion house at the send-off to Miss Universe.
The hand-made evening silk dress of the Empire style was sewn at the Swiss factory Jacob Schaefer; the open-work flowers are covered with 24-carat-gold. The cost of the dress is $60,000.
Besides the main dress, Miss Russia 2010 will take with her to Las-Vegas another unique dress the creators of which were inspired by the famous Monomakh’s cap. It is decorated with sables and precious stones (topazes, sapphires and amethysts). Miss Russia 2010 will wear it at national costumes’ contest.
Besides the clothes, Irina Antonenko will take with her to Las-Vegas Matryoshkas painted by hand. It is a traditional national gift which should be brought by each participant. Inside the Matryoshka there is a surprise – matryoshkas with portraits of the Miss Universe contest winners from 2009 to 2005in the reverse order.
