An explosion at a petrochemical factory in Iran has killed four people, official news agency IRNA reported on Sunday.
The explosion occurred on Saturday evening at the petrochemical complex on Khark Island in the southern Bushehr province due to high pressure in the factory's central boiler, following which a fire broke out, the agency said.
The bodies of three of the victims have been found so far and the fire is under control. Relief workers are helping persons injured in the incident, the agency said.
Electricity supply has been temporarily cut in the province, the agency said.
Khark Island accommodates Iran's largest oil terminal in the Persian Gulf. The Khark petrochemical plant employs more than 400 people.
