Taiwan smartphone maker HTC Corporation plans to open 11 new official retail stores in Russia's million-plus cities by 2011, HTC said on Monday.
The company has already opened two stores in Moscow: an HTC Care service & sales centre and an HTC single-brand store. It is currently working on opening the same stores in towns in the Russian regions, a company official said.
He said the company planned to open stores in Yekaterinburg, Samara, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Izhevsk, Perm, Ufa, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk and Omsk, although the project is still at an early stage.
HTC may launch either single-brand stores or shop-in-shop stores with pay offices at the company's unnamed partner stores depending on the region, he said.
