On July 29 forests in Moscow region's Kolomna district caught fire, and are still burning in some areas.
The forest fires in the Moscow suburb of Kolomna started in the Shchurovo district, on the Eastern bank of the river Oka. This video was shot in the heat of the fire while people were being evacuated from their dachas. The cameraman had a lucky escape, as the fire had almost reached his house when the wind changed direction. The fire has now been put out and the city is blanketed with smog.
