Antonio Banderas, whose full name is Jose Antonio Dominguez Banderas was born on August 10, 1960, in the city of Malaga, southern Spain.
In the beginning of his career he took part in various plays. Participation in a series of films by already popular director Pedro Almodovar made Banderas popular. It was Pedro who advised the novice actor to reduce his name to the one we know now.
The list of the actor’s motion pictures includes more than 60 works. In May 2010, it leaked out that Banderas will star in a new film by Almodovar The Skin I Live in. The shooting is planned to kick off in August 2010.
In 1996, Banderas married actress Melanie Griffith, she is his second wife. Their daughter was born in September 1996.
