Construction of international intermodal logistics center in Tashkent will be accomplished by the end of 2010, a spokesman for the Uzvneshtrans told RIA Novosti on Saturday.
The logistics center is designed to combine air, road and rail transport services and to meet the requirements of the regional economy in exports, import and cargo transfers, the spokesman said.
The new facility will have five covered warehouses with the total are of 10,000 square meters each, two container platforms and five parking lots.
On August 12, cargo terminal, part of the intermodal storage facility was opened at the Tashkent's Navoi international airport.
