A militant leader who was behind the bombings on the Moscow metro in March was killed in a police operation in the Russian North Caucasus republic of Dagestan on Saturday, a police source said.
Magomedali Vagabov was killed in an operation by the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) in the Dagestani village of Gunib, the source said.
He organized the suicide bombings on the Moscow metro on March 29 that killed 40 people, the source said.
