The Moscow city authorities will reward the capital's best street cleaners with tourist trips to the Canary Islands, a source in the city's administration said.
The street cleaners won an annual competition held by the city administration for making the best improvements to their local area.
The contest is held annually and results are usually announced ahead of Moscow's City Day on the first weekend in September.
"Twenty one street cleaner will go to the Canary Islands, and twelve administration heads [will go] to the Czech Republic," the source said, adding that up to 4 million rubles ($ 130,000) was allocated for the trips.
