The world’s first edible art exhibition Cake Britain has gone on show at the Future Gallery in the heart of London. Artists and cake makers worked together to produce the unusual installations and exhibits, all made of sweet dough, chocolate, sugar and icing.
Intrigued children and their parents walk around these delicacies. One exhibit, resembling an oil slick flowing out of a mouse hole, prompted those visiting the exhibition to think about ecological problems.
The artists placed sweet representations of Hollywood’s hottest couple, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, atop an extravagant wedding cake. The fast food cakes, smiling hamburgers, were intended to represent people’s attraction to food that’s bad for you, say their creators.
