Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is starting a visit to Poland on Wednesday.
Lavrov will hold talks with his Polish counterpart Radoslaw Sikorski and take part in a meeting of Polish ambassadors.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, he is also expected to meet with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Andrei Nesterenko said relations have been reset with Poland, and "new mechanisms are being created."
Moscow is satisfied with the work of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation. The Foreign Ministry said bilateral trade in the first half of 2010 totaled $9.9 billion, or nearly a 50% rise year-on-year.
