President Dmitry Medvedev visited Russia’s Orenburg Region on Thursday and had a taste of the local produce while touring a farm, a grocery and a dairy producer.
President Dmitry Medvedev visited Russia’s Orenburg Region on Thursday and had a taste of the local produce while touring a farm, a grocery and a dairy producer.
President Dmitry Medvedev started his working trip to Orenburg with a speech at a ceremony to mark the opening of the first presidential cadet college.
“You must be in touch with a computer. Nowadays it is a weapon as important as a sub-machine gun or tank,” Medvedev said to cadets. “And speaking seriously, [computer is] more important”.
Then Dmitry Medvedev went to a milk factory. On the way he made an unscheduled stop at an ordinary grocery. Medvedev took a look at the variety of food on offer and had a short talk with the customers. He was mostly interested in changes in price.
