A MiG-29 military jet crashed in Belarus during a training flight on Thursday, killing two pilots, the Belarusian Defense Ministry said.

The incident occurred at 17:00 local time (14:00 GMT), when the plane plunged into a forest.

The Defense Ministry has launched an inquiry into the cause of the crash.
