Dmitry Medvedev visits Expo-2010

September 28 at the Shanghai World Expo-2010 is Russia Day. Russia has presented its most successful innovation projects at the pavilion. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev visited the exhibition on Tuesday.

In December 2006, Russia officially announced its participation at the Expo-2010. In June 2009 the construction of the national pavilion of Russia began and the pavilion was completed by February 2010. Two mottos of the Russian pavilion at Expo-2010 are – “New Russia: Cities and People” and “'The best city is the one where children are happy.”

The main expositions at the pavilion are those representing various territories of Russia – "New Technologies for Vital Activities," "The City of the Future Through Children's Eyes," "The City of Talents." Later Dmitry Medvedev and Xi Jinping visited the Chinese pavilion. The national Chinese pavilion, named “The Crown of the East” is made in the style of the traditional Chinese architecture - a roofed building without external walls on the area of 160,000 square meters.

Dmitry Medvedev made a note in the Book of honored guests of the Chinese pavilion.
