A Sumatra tiger cub born to a mother previously thought to be infertile made its media debut at Frankfurt Zoo in Germany on Wednesday. The female cub - named Daseep - was born weighing just over two pounds (one kilogramme) on September 10. Her keepers have been raising her by hand after her mother rejected her at birth - common for first-time tiger moms. Staff on Wednesday said the little ball of fur was doing well and healthy and had gained almost nine pounds (nearly four kilogrammes) from her steady milk diet. Daseep is the first tiger cub born at the Frankfurt Zoo in 26 years.
