A 5.9-magnitude earthquake shook Costa Rica early on Saturday, but no damage or injuries have been reported so far, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
According to the USGS, the epicenter of the quake was located 41 kilometers (26 miles) northwest of the capital, San Jose, at the depth of 98 km (61 miles).
There are no tsunami warnings issued for the Pacific.
Last year, a 6.1-magnitude quake in central Costa Rica killed at least 20 people.
