Russian President Dmitry Medvedev will address the first plenary session of the World Economic Forum in Davos on January 26, 2011, presidential aide Arkady Dvorkovich said on Friday.
"The Russian president has made the decision to attend the next scheduled session of the Davos Forum in January next year. The president will be the main speaker during the first plenary session of the Davos Forum," Dvorkovich said.
In his address, Medvedev will stress the need for modernization in Russia's economy and cooperation with foreign partners, Dvorkovich added.
"Most probably, the president will meet with the Young Global Leader [community]," Dvorkovich said.
A range of European leaders are expected to attend the Davos Forum.
