The president of the troubled southern Russian republic of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, told Newsweek in an interview about his attitude to the Russian prime minister: “My idol, is [Vladimir] Putin. I want him to be the president as long as he lives. I love him very much, as a man loves a man. He is a man of his word; he brought peace to Chechnya.”
In the interview Kadyrov also talked about the importance of faith for Chechnya and his view of the problem of alcoholism in Russia.
