New Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin did not like what he saw while standing on the roof of a building near the Belorussky railway station jammed with endless cars.
On Wednesday, Moscow's new chief looked into the capital's biggest problem: traffic jams. He spent about half an hour on the roof of a 14-storey building looking down onto streets paralyzed by traffic jams.
"The mayor observed the traffic in the region from the roof," the mayor's spokesman said.
Sobyanin said the transportation around the train station's square was "awful," the spokesman said.
In a speech prior to his inauguration, Sobyanin declared solving transport problems as one of the key issues in his mayoral agenda.
