Russia's tennis star Vera Zvonareva beat Belarusia's Viktoria Azarenko 7:6, 6:4 at the Doha tennis tournament, according to the WTA website.
The match between Zvonareva and Azarenko lasted two and a half hours.
"This was possibly the longest match in my career," Zvonareva said.
Zvonareva said the match against Azarenko was difficult, but added that it is always difficult playing against her.
Also on Wednesday, Kim Clijsters from Belgium took out Serbia's Jelena Jankovic with a score of 6:2, 6:3 in a match that lasted one hour and 15 minutes.
"My next match will be against Kim Clijsters," Zvonareva wrote in her microblog, referring to the Belgian tennis star, who beat her with a 2:6, 1:6 score in the U.S. Open finals.
