Over 200 young residents of the southwestern Siberian city of Novosibirsk held a Halloween Parade on Sunday.
The young people costumed as witches and warlocks paraded down the city's central street carrying jack'-o- lanterns with them. The parade confused the city's elder generation as such an event was held in Novosibirsk for the first time ever.
Social networks helped the young people to gather, Bulat Barantayev, the organizer of the parade, said.
This year, the common practice of joining holidays and shifting work days in Russia has coincided with the western holiday of Halloween.
