The Russian Olympic Committee is not involved in the financing of the Russia House establishment for the 2012 Olympic Games in London, the committee’s press service said on Wednesday.
Britain’s Evening Standard reported on Tuesday that the committee was finalizing details of a multi-million-pound deal to establish Russia House in proximity to Marble Arch located near the cluster of Park Lane hotels to be used by Olympic VIPs.
“Information about the Russian Olympic Committee’s involvement in financing Russia House for the 2012 Summer Olympics, which was published by London Evening Standard on November 2, 2010, is incorrect,” the press service said.
“The committee’s priority for the London Olympics is the preparation and performance of the Russian national team. The committee is not involved in other projects related to the London Games.”
London will host the Olympic Games on July 27-August 12, 2012.
