A total of 454 terrorism-related crimes were registered in Russia in January-September 2010, Russian Interior Minister Rashid Nurgaliyev said.
"A total of 454 terrorism-related and 510 extremism-related crimes were registered in Russia in the [past] nine months," the minister said. "We are witnessing very serous and very dangerous tendencies which take place in the North Caucasus."
He also said that various criminal activities inflicted the damage of 164 billion rubles ($5.4 billion) to the state in the reported period.
